Kamchia

The cozy and beautiful holiday complex of Kamchia lies at the Black Sea on the mouth of the Kamchiya river, in the very heart of the Kamchia natural reserve. It is about 20km to the south of Varna following the seaside road to Bourgas.

The Kamchia complex is relatively new and is a typical holiday city with no current permanent population. Kamchia was mostly built during communist times with each of the villa and bungalow complexes which have been managed by a state-owned company. Nowadays the situation and present conditions are quite different and most of the villas are run by private concessionaires while the standard of the sub-complexes ranges from relatively low to high.

Yet, Kamtchia may be a compelling complex to visit. It is quiet and still not heavily inhabited, so the atmosphere is quiet and calm, and tourists would feel quite relaxed after leaving the complex. The city of kamchia is still not touched by the industry in the Black sea region.
